Imenco’s Diverse Growth

Throughout the decades, Imenco has grown through the development of our own solutions and through the acquisition of several companies. Imenco, is now a group of companies that includes Future Technologies.

Our Leading Technologies and Solutions

We hold a market-leading position in subsea imaging, lighting, and laser technologies, as well as electronic systems and underwater corrosion protection. Our expertise extends to military and civil aviation refueling, lifting and handling solutions for subsea and topside applications, and specialized aquaculture camera technology. Furthermore, we provide advanced CCTV surveillance and underwater acoustic communication systems. Imenco is also a major provider of hydraulic systems, precision machining, diving systems, and full EPC contracts.

1979

Imenco established

Imenco was established in 1979 as an engineering company and was for the first 20 years mainly engaged in subsea projects before gradually extending its portfolio of products and solutions to other industries.

2001

Acquisition of Stocktronics

The acquisition of Stocktronics introduces advanced diving communication systems to the Imenco portfolio

2010

Establishing office in Aberdeen

Imenco establishes an office in Aberdeen to meet the growing demand for activities in the UK region.

2018

Acquisition of Kongsberg Camera Division

Imenco acquires Kongsberg’s camera division in Aberdeen and Wick – introducing subsea cameras and CCTV for marine use

2019

Acquistion of Nautronix

The acquisition of Nautronix in Aberdeen introduces underwater communication systems to the Imenco portfolio.

2019

Imenco LLC is established in the US

Imenco establishes its first office in the US, located in Lafayette, Lousiana.

2023

Acquisition Metas

Acquisition of Metas introduces equipment for security and environmental monitoring to the Imenco portfolio.

Imenco Future Technologies Established

The electronic division of the Imenco group is separated into a separate company in order to increase focus on R&D of its technological products and solutions.

New production facilities in Broussard, LA

Imenco LLC opens a new and modern production facility in Broussard, Louisiana

Establishing office in Maryland, US

By the acquisition of the consultancy company Gardner Technologies (GTI), Imenco LLC establishes a new office in Annapolis, Maryland.
